Wasa Nabin program
About the Program
The Wasa Nabin program provides individual and peer support with urban indigenous youth from age 13 up. We practice confidence building, addiction prevention, referrals, one on one sessions, plan of action, outreach, justice help, anti-violence techniques, healthy living, develop positive healthy relationships with family and other organizations, supports for educational needs and life skills.
Some activities planned are:
- Online cooking classes
- Canoe days
- Bee keeping
- Soapstone carving
- Beach days with other coordinators
- Paint nights
- Celebrate Indigenous Day
- Hiking (with snacks)
